Looks like Fedora packaking is under heavy work, but it seems nmarques is also facing some issues (if I get it right it has to do something with patching the original Nautilus tarball, as it is done in the Fedora way using the .spec files). Hope you can work it out together! ;)

Guys, I just started using the Nautilus Elementary PPA on my Ubuntu system. Great work! As for the OSX-Finder complaints, if any of these people have ever actually USED the Finder (I use it every day at work), they'd know that there's a big difference between it and Nautilus.

I'm not even using your window theme, but the in-window tweaks you've made are excellent. The view switcher and the efficient use of space is much appreciated.

Also, did you guys fix the 'Emblems' list so that it's a nicely arranged grid that's easy to scan? Just noticed this and it's great.

Hello,
there is still one major problem for me with all those application managed files. How can I exchange them with other users. How can I move them to my Dropbox, to my USB stick, to my player. This isn't obvious at all in Banshee and in F-Spot.
So I always have to get back into the application and find out where it saved those files. Very often it is very hard to understand the logic and you really have to struggle.
What happens if I change the program ? If Ubuntu is switching from F-Spot to Shotwell, then all my tags and stuff are gone ?

This portability seems a huge challenge to me, but the rest would be very cool.

Have fun,
Fred

first, great work guys. I love almost everything about elementary. But in later versions of nautilus-elementary i see the problem with localization(at least with russian locale). Almost 1/3 of menu entries are in english. The question: is there a way to fix this? The suggestion: I could help with translation, just tell me how. And thanx for what you do.

Actually I wanted to compile it in a more package-wise method, but looks like there's more to learn about that for me. The errors complained about package conflicts.
And I used the lp:nautilus-elementary branch.
Will experiment with it later. :)
